The World Boxing Council creates the Turkey and Syria Fund Relief

Early Monday morning, Turkey and Syria suffered one of the most devastating earthquakes in recent years, which claimed the lives of thousands of people, left thousands more injured and languishing in immeasurable pain as well as anguish.

In these difficult times, we know they need all our solidarity, which is why the World Boxing Council has decided to create the Turkey and Syria Relief Fund, starting it up with $20,000 dollars. Likewise, we will plan activations to help raise aid from all our affiliated nations. and thereby remind all our brothers and sisters from Turkey and Syria that they are not alone. Because together we are stronger, and that hope is the ability to see that there is light of hope despite all the dark adversity.

We pray for the peoples of both stricken nations during these very difficult times, and we lament the passing of those who are not with us anymore. May they rest in eternal peace.
