The WBC wishes “Goyo” Vargas and his father a speedy recovery

The President of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaiman Saldivar, and the entire organization send their best wishes for the prompt and full recovery of Gregorio “Goyo” Vargas and his father, who are in health problems due to the covid-19 coronavirus.

Vargas was crowned the WBC featherweight champion on April 28, 1993, in Dublin, Ireland, knocking out Paul Hodkinson in seven rounds.
