The WBC mourns the passing of Rubén Olmos Rojas

This afternoon, Don Rubén Olmos Rojas, Corporate Director of Special Events and Public Relations of the Oasis group, passed away in Cancun, Quintana Roo.

He was a person dedicated to his work with professionalism and dedication.
The World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaimán, offer their deepest condolences to his wife, children, family and friends for this irreparable loss.

Last year he was wonderfully attentive to the needs that were required to cover the organization of the WBC’s 57th Annual Convention, which was held at the Hotel Oasis, Cancun.

Since 2010, Grupo Oasis has been important in the promotion and dissemination of professional boxing from the International “Oasis Arena Cancún” and Don Rubén Olmos was a great manager and promoter of the big cards.

His presence was fundamental in previous activities, mainly in the press conferences, where he welcomed boxers, managers, assistants and the media.

Mr. Olmos Rojas made a marvelous team with Pepe Gómez, Director of “Cancún Boxing” and both presented superbly memorable boxing cards at “Oasis Arena Cancún.”
