The WBC mourns the passing of Carlos Marin

The family of the World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaimán express our deepest condolences, following the passing of Carlos Marín, president of the Nicaraguan Boxing Federation.
In recent years, Carlos battled against various illnesses that gradually undermined his health.

Carlos, who was a member of the Nicaraguan Sports Institute, the Nicaraguan Professional Boxing Commission, and the National Superior Boxing Commission, was always a great person, hard-working and helpful, and for these and many other qualities he will be remembered for eternity.

May he rest in peace and may his memory be eternal. We have lost a marvelous friend.
