The WBC mourns the deaths of Víctor and Tomas Barron

We have received the sad news of the death of Víctor Barron, great manager and trainer from Cajeme, Ciudad Obregón, Sonora.

“Chino” as he was known, died a victim of Covid-19. His  son Tomás died a few days ago also from coronavirus.
Don Víctor was for several decades one of the most active boxing managers in Sonora. Greatly respected, he had under his charge brilliant boxers,  who reached a high level in world boxing arenas.
The World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaimán Saldívar, send Don Víctor’s family and friends their heartfelt condolences, at this time of deep double sorrow.
