The WBC mourns the death of Alfonso González Ornelas

We are saddened to report that our great friend Alfonso Gonzalez Ornelas who worked for a long time with the WBC and attended various conventions, has died.

Alfonso, who was also a photographer for Dr Fausto Daniel García’s Boxeo de Gala company, was President of Grupo Hombres del Cuadrilatero, a non-profit association of contact sports.

Unfortunately, Alfonso died due to complications derived from Covid-19.

The entire family of the World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaiman send our deepest condolences to Alfonso’s family and many friends.
