The WBC family mourns the passing of Luis Romio

The WBC is sad to announce the death of Luis Romio, President of the Argentine Boxing Federation (FAB), who passed away aged of 81.

Luis was a boxer judge and boxing referee. In 1966 he joined the FAB as part of the press team. He was President of the championship commission, spokesperson, treasurer, secretary and Vice President. He started his cycle as president of the FAB in 2016.

President of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaimán and everyone affiliated with the organization, lament this irreparable loss. We send our deepest condolences to Mr. Romio’s family and his many friends.
