
The World Boxing Council’s priority is to add its entire platform, to support boxing promotions around the world, because they generate great engagement and much enjoyment with boxing fans.
The WBC team worked in coordination with TGB and PBC to carry out a full range of activities during two months prior to the fight and especially the week of the event itself.
PUEBLA BELT
Canelo won the Puebla belt, a jewel created by artisan hands from cultures that merged to create a belt of vibrant colors with majestic representations of the Puebla culture, designed by Angelica Moreno in the Talavera de la Reyna workshop. This belt took 2 months to make with the hand weaving, production and painting of the Talavera, the white marble plate, and the traditional elements of the WBC belt.
PRESENTATION ON MARTES DE CAFE WEEKLY PRESS CONFERENCE
In the presence of great boxing personalities, the President of the WBC, Mr. Mauricio Sulaimán, Daniel Aceves, President of the Association of Mexican Olympians, the great former world champion Carlos Zarate and the Director of the Sports Institute in Hidalgo plus former world champion Pipino Cuevas, unveiled the Puebla WBC commemorative belt.
SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY
The Puebla belt visited some schools and gyms in Mexico City before leaving for Las Vegas, thus giving joy and delight to thousands of children.
GREEN ROOM
This is a space where the Walk of Fame was displayed with posters of the best super welterweight and super middleweight champions, plus the WBC giant belt. Many media outlets used the space for interviews with boxers and other types of activities. It was a space where fans could mingle with boxers as well as take photos. a fitting setting.
PANORAMIC EXHIBITION
The WBC once again surprised the boxing world by launching a new campaign to promote this great card, broadcasting a 90-second promo on one of the largest screens in the world.
Huge Board Experience was in charge of this great transmission projected in the emblematic World Trade Center, one of the most iconic buildings in Mexico City, which constitutes a natural screen of 5,250 square meters and where the promotional video of the historic card was shown the entire week leading up to the fight with 15 broadcasts each night.
MEDIA IMPACT
The WBC created and crafted an intensive and comprehensive plan of publications on social networks, as well as a great effort to promote the fight and the special edition of the Puebla belt, having a presence on television programs, events, newscasts, newspapers, digital platforms and hundreds of internet pages.
