The Power of Resiliency

As part of our WBC Cares 15th Anniversary Celebration, Cares Ambassador and Former, multiple  Champion Lil Oscar Cantú represented us for National Hispanic Heritage Month.

Oscar spoke at the USA Congressional Summit on October 7th, 2021. This was also a lovely moment in our honoring 2021 The Year of Boxing.

Among the many stories of challenge and resiliency, our Oscar brought his magic to the presentation. Running his youth programs, inspiring others and overcoming an early retirement from the sport he loved due to an aneurysm. They doesn’t get  much better!

Lil Oscar has been a Motivational Speaker throughout his adult life, to different levels of groups from Elementary Students, High School Students, College Students and to various other groups as needed.

Oscar especially enjoys sharing his “Shoot for the Moon”, “Be a Hero”,  and Red Ribbon Week messages.

Lil Oscar is a man who has the strength of his faith and a champion indeed.
