The Riyadh Season WBC Boxing Grand Prix is a ground-breaking tournament, a long-cherished vision of Don José Sulaiman and it will be the first ever Boxing World Cup, designed to discover and showcase the next generation of boxing superstars. It will feature innovative elements:

- 128 athletes: 32 participants in each division.

- Five magnificent events: taking place in Saudi Arabia.
- No draws: decisive results in every fight.
- Open scoring: after rounds 2, 4 and 6, providing transparency and excitement.
- Instant replay: ensuring fair and accurate scoring by officials.
The Riyadh Season WBC Boxing Grand Prix promises to be a landmark event in the world of boxing, offering a platform for emerging talents and providing exciting matchups for fans around the world. More details on dates, venues and participating athletes will be released soon.

To increase the prestige of the event, heavyweight boxing legend Lennox Lewis presented the “Jose Sulaiman Trophy”, also known as the Flame of Hope, which will be awarded to the champions of the Riyadh Season WBC Boxing Grand Prix. This iconic trophy symbolizes the spirit of competition and the pursuit of excellence in boxing.
“The dream of every boxer in the world is to fight for the WBC world title and this tournament is a big step towards achieving that goal,” commented Lewis.
