The Cesar of México honored during WBC Cancun 57 Convention

An unforgettable tribute to the great Julio César Chávez during WBC Annual Convention in sun kissed Cancun.

Julio, who`s the most fantastic Mexican boxing superstar of all time,  fought all comers and swept them aside with an undefeated reign of more than a decade. The statistics are mind bogglingly impressive because this involved thirty-seven title fights, including the  most dramatic KO victory of all time. El Gran Campion  received a beautiful Mayan Belt and was appointment “Nojoch Jalach” which in Mayan translates as Great Mayan Chief, during a flamingly spectacular ceremony of warriors.

Accompanied  by his great rivals and now great friends Mario Martínez,  Puerto Rican sensation Juan Laporte, his legendary promoter Don King and his two-time rival, Oscar De La Hoya, Julio was honored. lauded  and recognized for his incredible career and for the history he carved out in this sport. However, the most special moment for our Julio was when his Mother came along with the belt that recognizes him as the one and only “Nojoch Jalach.”  Because…Mum always knows Best!
