The Boxing Family stands shoulder to shoulder with Felipe Orocuta
Today, the Father and Brother of our beloved Felipe Orucuta plus the medical team who saved his life and are helping with his ongoing recovery, came WBC weekly press conference, and were awarded Certificates of Merit for their skillful, outstanding and above all, caring dedication to this fine young man.
Jesus, Felipe’s older brother, was grateful and deeply moved for the affection that his family has received and above all for the support that has come from many parts of the World with the single avowed objective of helping incredibly brave “Gallito” continue to advance, step by step on the road to recovery.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán stressed that the swift, highly professional response of the medical team and the diligent intervention of Doctor Fausto Daniel Garcia proved vital for Felipe in those crucial hours and then the crucial days ahead. It helped him win the most important fight of his life and for his way back to health. Dr Fausto is awarded a special WBC Wrist Bracelet for his tremendous coordination of the massive effort.
WBC Presented the Merit Awards to Doctors Rogelio Lopez, José Luis Ibarra, neurosurgeon Manuel Moreno Estrada and intensivist Takao Kaneko. All of them combined to provide fundamental and brilliant skills to help Felipe, in his hour of greatest need and thereafter until this day and beyond.
Likewise, the team of “No boxing, No life” spearheaded by promoter of Eddy Reynoso raised 500 thousand pesos, that was collected in a special raffle of one thousand tickets for his brand new car.
In presenting a giant check to the Orucuta Family, Iván Torres, of “No boxing, No life” thanked the participation of the whole Boxing Family, because its thanks to them the goal was reached and the promise to help Felipe was fulfilled.
Aware that there is still some way to go, the Orucuta family is greatly encouraged, because Felipe has shown that nothing and nobody will defeat his courageous warrior spirit, as he continues to get better.
And the efforts continue! This Saturday donations are being taken for Felipe at a boxing evening of Rocha Boxing Promotions at Auditorio Municipal de Santiago, Teyahulco in Tultepec.
