Maria Jesus Rosa, born in Madrid, became the first world champion in the history of Spanish boxing left us prematurely aged just forty four.
On May 11, accompanied by Rock & Box, Pablo Navascues, Brooklyn Fitboxing and the World Boxing Council (among others) we celebrated her memorable life and achievements in a 100% charity boxing night, from which all the Money raised has gone to the family of María Jesús.
A large number of public and private institutions helped by buying a ticket, donating items for auctions, sponsoring the event or through anonymous donations.
The most emotional moment occurred when after the screening of a commemorative video of the champion, her 10 and 11 year old children climbed into the ring to receive the precious green and gold (in this case, pink) personalized with the ceramics of the great José Sulaiman and the incomparable Maria Jesis.
This touchingly emotional event will forever remind these little warriors of the magnitude and importance of their Mother’s tremendous achievements.
