
World Boxing Council light fly champion Kenshiro Teraji will make his ninth defense against # 1-ranked compatriot Masamichi Yabuki, tomorrow night at the Kyoto City Gymnasium in Kyoto, western Japan.
This will be the 29-year-old Teraji’s ninth defense of the title he won by defeating Mexican Ganigan López in May 2017.
Teraji has 18 wins, including 10 KOs. While Yabuki, who will get his first shot at a world title, has a 12-3 record including 11 KOs.
Both passed the weigh-in without a hitch. Teraji tipped the scale at 107.4 pounds, while Yabuki weighed 107.6 pounds.
