Take a bow! Castillo wins WBC semi-final eliminator

Undefeated Luis “Flechita” Castillo (20-0-1, 13 ko’s) defeated experienced and skilled Abraham “Choko” Rodríguez (28-3-0, 13 ko’s), in a straw-weigh semi-final elimination, endorsed by the World Council of Boxing, in La Paz, Baja California Sur.

The match was keenly contested. Not a quiver! For Castillo it was a tough test, because “Choko”, who has extensive experience, is a wily rival.

In the sixth round, Rodríguez visited the canvas hurting his left ankle, so unfortunately, he was unable to continue. The Referee decreed victory for Castillo by technical knockout.
