Super lightweights ready for the second stage of the WBC Boxing Grand Prix

The WBC Boxing Grand Prix, a decades-long vision of WBC Lifetime President Don José Sulaimán, became a reality step forward for the Sport,  thanks to the support of Riyadh Season and His Excellency Turki Alalshikh.

This innovative tournament will return with its second round of fights from the Global Theatre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will be broadcast live on http://DAZN.com/wbc  

 The divisions that will kick off this next stage will be the super lightweight and middleweight participants. 

Today, the weigh-in for the 140-pound division took place. All 16 participants in this division passed the official weigh-in and medical examinations.  

The fights are scheduled for six rounds each, as in the first round.

The winners of the tournament will be awarded the “José Sulaiman, Flame of Hope” trophy.
