
The President of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaimán, attended the Sports Leaders Business Summit at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to hold important talks together with former WBC champion and proud ambassador, Tony Bellow, Frank Smith of Matchroom and other prominent speakers.
Leaders Sport Business Summit Abu Dhabi, in association with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, is taking place at the Yas Marina Circuit in the United Arab Emirates.
This is a major international invitation-only event for 450 of the biggest names in all of sport globally, as well as industry executives from various regions.
Combining sporting leaders with world-renowned facilities and themes that look to the future of sport, this event aims to offer the opportunity to learn, connect and experience opportunities for sporting growth across multiple disciplines.
During his participation, the WBC President commented: “We are living in a very important time for boxing, growing fans, great interest from young people, especially women, to practice boxing and fitness boxing. Social networks and great characters from all platforms have turned to our sport, we have to give them a safe space where they can live the boxing experience and the values of this great sport. This region of the world will be essential to the growth of boxing. We will see in 3 or 4 years the first world champion from the Middle East”.
