Stevenson ready to defend WBC crown against Gvozdyk 

The World Boxing Council light heavyweight champion, Adonis Stevenson, will confront Ukrainian Oleksandr Gvozdyk, this Saturday in December in Quebec, Canada.

Adonis (29-1-1, 24 KOs) comes from drawing in a classic fight against Badou Jack in the spring of this year. While Gvozdyk, a former Olympic medalist and undefeated in 15 bouts with 12 knockouts, comes from defeating Mehdi Amar by UD.

“Gvozdyk is a hungry guy, I’m sure he’ll give everything in the ring. I will have to be 100%  ready to win. I want to show people that I am the #1 light heavyweight and I WILL win by KO, “said Stevenson.
