The WBC welterweight champion, American Errol Spence Jr., will face the Cuban Yordenis Ugas on Saturday, April 16, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The fight was confirmed by Errol Spence Jr. himself on his social networks.
It`s promoted by the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) series and will be a welcome home match for Spence (27-0, 21 KOs), who grew up near Arlington, in the Dallas metropolitan area.
Yordenis Ugas (27-4, 12 KOs) comes to this fight by defeating the Filipino Manny Pacquiao, last August in Las Vegas.
Spence returns to the ring after a long inactivity, with no action during 2021, due to retinal damage in his right eye, from which he underwent surgery and is now fully recovered.
Before that Spence won a tough twelve-round unanimous decision against former world champion Danny Garcia to successfully defend his world crowns.
