Smith wins WBC Silver title with a rib bender!

British Dalton Smith was proclaimed super lightweight Silver champion of the World Boxing Council, after winning by knockout in the fifth round against Mexican José “Chon” Zepeda in Sheffield, England.

The fight began with Zepeda tryhing to utilize his greater experience, but Smith took control as the fight progressed and the action heated up in the City of steel.
In the fifth round, Dalton connected with a big right hand to the body of Zepeda, who sank to the canvas, due to the delayed effect of the pinpoint punch, and could not get back up in time to beat the Referee`s count of ten.
With this victory the undefeated Smith moved to (16-0, 12 KOs), while veteran Zepeda is now (37-5, 28 KOs).
