Skye Nicolson will have an attractive fight back home, on March 22 at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, against the American Tiara Brown.
The WBC featherweight champion has been vocal about her desire to clear out the division this year, and was expected to face other champions soon.
Nicolson and Brown have traded verbal barbs in recent months, and the champion admits it’s a fight she wanted to see happen.
“The cat is out of the bag. It’s a homecoming as world champion. I’m really excited. These are the kind of fights I’m excited about,” Skye told DAZN.
“I’m really looking forward to it. I feel like Tiara has bought herself into this narrative that I’m given everything for free and effortlessly, that everything has been handed to me on a silver platter.
“I think my fights speak for themselves, but she’ll find out on March 22 why I’m world champion and she’s not. The plan is to be undisputed champion this year.”
