Ukranian powder keg Serhii Bohachuk retained his WBC Continental Americas title, with an irresistible long fuse sparking of brave, but outgunned Mexican Alejandro Davila.

The fight which was promoted by Max Boxing and Tom Loeffler`s 360 Promotions, was at Grupo SIPSE TV Studios in Merida, Yucatan. Serhii, who is now 18-0, with 18 KO`s had previously stopped all opponents in five rounds or less. This time it took him three more minutes, largely due to the rugged resistance, bravery and testing punch back qualities of “Pajaro” (21-2-2, 8 KO`s), who initially gave him a spirited run for his money.

But as the rounds clocked up, he was receiving ever heavier and more sustained firepower, which was increasingly running over him via one way traffic. After the sixth his own corner wisely decided that enough was enough.
