Short film “El Púgil” is selected as finalist in NY

The short film made by Pepe Sulaimán, El Púgil, has been  selected as a finalist for the New York International Film Awards.

“El Púgil is a short film that came out of a conversation with Israel Vázquez, former WBC world champion, I asked him about loneliness in boxing and he told me there wasn’t, so I wanted to explain what I meant by loneliness, that boxing is a lonely sport.

In spite of the amount of people that are always around the fighter, the script of this short film is the reflection made about the subject. Dedicated with all my heart to all boxers in the world.”
