Just two days before Christmas, World Boxing Council light flyweight champion Ken Shiro, will defend his crown against tough Filipino fighter Randy Petalcorin, ranked 14th in the WBC ratings.
The fight will take place in Yokohama, Japan, on December 23, where Félix Alvarado would originally have fought him, but had to withdrew due to the effects of bronchitis.
Petalcorin (31-3-1, 23 ko) has 5 consecutive victories, proving his form so the champion does not take him lightly.
Ken says he`s putting himself through a rigorous training camp, to leave no doubt who’s the best light flyweight fighter in the world, concluding the year with an important victory.
“I want to be a lasting champion, I have a great team behind me and that is an inspiration to continue reaping triumphs.”
