
On December 23 at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan, the World Boxing Council’s light flyweight champion Ken Shiro (16-0, 9 KOs) will defend his title against the IBF champion, Nicaraguan Felix Alvarado (35 – 2, 30 knockouts).
Shiro had stated his desire to unify the division to prove he`s the best in the world, and now he will have the chance against Alvarado.
This will be Alvarado’s second successive fight against a Japanese fighter, after defeating Reiya Konishi.
Ken is having a great training camp and pledges he`ll be one hundred and ten percent ready to take on his fellow champion, two days before Christmas.
