Shields ready

The unified middleweight world champion, tClaressa Shields, will be defending her crowns, against the Slovakian Ema Kozin, in a long-awaited fight next Saturday, February 5, at the Motorpoint Arena, in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom.

On the same card, middleweight contenders Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Williams will square off in a compelling bout.

This is what the great middleweight WBC world champion commented on her future plans:

“The other girls, like Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor, have been showing some great skills, but I plan to show even better skills in my fight on February 5.

“I hope that Savannah Marshall shows up in the fight. She can get in the ring after I win and talk about things. But talking doesn’t win fights, it’s training. She’s going to see a great performance and I’m going to show that I haven’t been running away.” We’ve been chasing her.”

Savannah Marshall has an amateur victory over Shields (11-0, 2 KOs), the only boxing lose she has suffered in the amateur or professional boxing. But Shields must emerge victorious against Kozin (21-0, 11 KOs) on February 5 to secure her long-awaited revenge match against Marshall.
