
Shields dominates Hermans
WBC female middleweight Champion Claressa “T-Rex” Shields, successfully defended her crown, comprehensively defeating Belgian Femke Hermans by UD, this Saturday at the StubHub Center, Carson, California.
Shields’ dominance was so clear, that the three Judges scored it 100-90, indicating a convincing victory. Shields is now heading for a fight against Germany’s Christina Hammer, which could be in March or April of next year.
Shields easily won the fight, perpetually being the more aggressive fighter, attacking throughout. She did not lose control of the fight at any time, overcoming the height advantage of her rival. With this result, Shields improved her record to 8-0, with 2 knockouts, while Hermans left the ring with a record of 9-2, with 3 knockouts.
