This morning during the traditional WBC weekly press conferences, the promoter and friend of the WBC, Sampson Lewkowicz announced that on August 19 his successful amateur tournament “Seeding champions”, starts an initiative that arises from genuine concern for amateur boxing of our lifetime president, José Sulaimán.
Sampson remembered those yesterdays, where he and Don José spent long hours chatting, seeking by all possible means to improve and support the sport.
The Uruguayan promoter regretted that his friend and mentor could not see the dream of this tournament gloriously realized , but he is convinced that one of his missions in life is to keep going, giving the best of himself to the sport.
Proud and thrilled to celebrate the third edition of this sporting event, Sampson clarified that important world boxing figures have emerged from this successful tournament, including the Uruguayan Amilcar Vidal, a favorite of the public.
He explained that the six winners of the tournament will be received by the WBC in Mexico City to spend two months of training and preparation fights that will lead them to the conquest plus realization of their dreams.
