Today we`re joined by the RX Team for a talk about hydration health, via the clear benefits of bottled water.
Launched in 2017, RX is a company which provides alkaline water enfused with electrolytes. It`s based in Southern Californina, Las Vegas, New York, the Metro Market and is expanding rapidly. Next stop…Colorado!
Recognizing the vital benefits of rehydration in sports, RX is partnered with the World Boxing Council.
To kick start this talk, Jill mentioned how essential hydration is during the pandemic, asking how RX transform their H20 to H2 Wow?
Harry explained RX started three years ago angered and simultaneously inspired via the water disaster crisis in Flint, Michigan, not wanting to be a band aid but wanting to make a real and substantial change. Claressa Shields was scheduled to spearhead a campaign, but this has been temporarily been delayed by the pandemic. David describes it as a state of limbo at the moment.
One of the most important aims of the company has been to come up with a true hydration protocol for boxers. It`s been achieved with the WBC and WBC Cares involving synergy and steady growth.
Pedram explains that bottled water was non existent in the 1960`s, but the quality of tap water has significantly declined over the decades, with more and more contaminants. As a result tap water has declined in quality. Yet, as we age our physiology declines and we become ever more prone to ailments like acid reflux, kidney stones. Alkaline water with natural elements, helps the body to re-adjust its balance. While with athletes it helps, as lactic acid builds up and PH decreases. RX doesn`t contain sodium and fluoride. It also helps neutralize the acids from consumed food.
Tony says RX helps boxers to stay on target weight with the body staying well hydrated, and energetic. David says that the pandemic has affected everything including transportation. But water is classified as an essential item and the company has been busy getting a lot of crates packed and ready to travel. This means things have significantly picked up in home deliveries. It`s important it note that RX is available on Amazon.com
RX now a distribution chain of two thousand stores and distributors in the North East of the USA. It`s available on the West Coast and is available in an increasing amount of Seven Eleven shops, in plastic and aluminum bottles and containers.
Doc Pedram advises consumption of RX is best done a little, but constantly, in instead of trying a deluge. The body is efficient of quickly ridding itself of too much fluid, because humans aren`t camels. During exercise the calculation is balanced against body weight, and the amount of food consumed leading up to this.
Tony who`s created the art work in the presentation of this attractive refreshing produce says he is also getting ready to start doing more boxing art work during the next couple of weeks, coaxing himself in the right artistic moods.
In concluding the talk, David thanked the WBC for providing an important respite during the daily grind of the pandemic, which helps friendship. Pedram says that he`s become a boxing fan and an amateur type boxer who together with his family hits the heavy bag at weekends…not themselves! Tony says its great to be talking with like minded people. Harry stresses: “I want to thank the WBC and what you do, which is cutting edge.” Harry says that this development is taking things to the next level.
Jill urged: “Stay at home, stay safe…and drink a lot of water!”
