We start the week of #WBCTalk broadcastS, with Christy Salters Matin.
“The Coal Miner’s Daughter” told us about her history as a pioneer of women’s boxing, her biggest fights, involving opening cards prior to Julio César Chávez and Mike Tyson. Christy also talked about the horrors of domestic violence, that she suffered and how she was able to survive and overcome it, in order to inspire other women.
If you did not have the opportunity to follow this conversation, we highly recommend that you do so, as it will be both an eye opener and education, from one of the greatest ambassadors of women’s boxing in the history of our sport.
