Rojas vs Lopez this Saturday

The Gym of Las Liebres in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, will host  this Saturday’s  “Worm”  Vs “Doberman” rumble  between southpaw  Tomas “Gusano” Rojas and Jairo “Doberman” Lopez .

“Gusano” who’s a former world champion, has proclaimed to everyone he’s determined  to return to the boxing elite, and a contest  against lead fighter Jairo, will be a significant  step on the way.

 Jairo on the other hand, is determined to be the fly in the ointment.

Rojas will get to the ring with a record of 50 victories, of which 33 were by knockout with 16 losses  and a draw; while Jairo has a record of 23-9.

The enthusiasm that has awakened the clash between local fans, has rarely been seen in Rio Bravo, because  the FECARBOX super featherweight championship will also be on the line.

In another match, Marco “Dorado” Reyes will clash with Jaime Montiel.

Mayor of Rio Bravo, Carlos Ulibarri Lopez visited the local high school in the company of former world champion Tomás Rojas, who  spoke of his life and times.
