Readying steadying… eddying Chávez Jr
Former WBC middleweight champion, Julio César Chávez Jr., will have to wait to get back into the ring, as the scheduled bout against Alfredo Angulo was canceled, PBC confirmed on Monday.
Chávez Jr, a former WBC middleweight champion, was removed from the fight by his Father Julio César Chávez and his team, who stated that he is not yet ready to return to the ring.
A few days ago it was announced that Julio Jr had not completed some medical exams required to obtain a license to fight in California, or yet finished a rehabilitation process to deal with a substance abuse problem.
The former champion was to be part of the undercard of WBC heavyweight supremo Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, with the WBC crown at stake.
