Jesús “Mono” Ramos Jr. plans to put on a standout performance when he takes on Erickson Lubin for the WBC Silver title, as part of the card headlined by Canelo Álvarez and Jermell Charlo, on September 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Originally Ramos (20-0, 16 KOs), was scheduled to face Sergio Garcia on July 30 on the undercard of the event headlined by Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr., but he suffered an injury.
Ramos, who is now as right as rain said:
“The left hand has healed. It wasn’t anything serious . It was just a matter of taking some time off, and right back. Training camp has been good. There is no pain and I am lucky to be able to do it in a healthy way. “I’m excited,” Ramos said in an interview with BoxingScene.
“The plan is to steal the show. We are both great warriors. If it all comes down to war, I like war too.”
“Right now only Lubin is on my mind. Defeating him is the first step to becoming world champion.”
