Puebla hosting National Boxing Tournament

At the traditional “Martes de Cafe” a great national boxing tournament was announced that will take place in the beautiful state of Puebla, Mexico, from September 15 to 17, as announced by Yadira Lira Navarro, director of the Puebla Sport Institute.

As she herself defined, this tournament is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate that Puebla is a boxing state, which has sport as its top priority, since she considers that this is the means to create a healthy society.

For her, it is very important to carry the message of the Governor, Miguel Barbosa, that Puebla is a growing state with a great cultural, gastronomic and sports legacy.

Special thanks to WBC President Mr. Mauricio Sulaimán, who has given all the support to this great event and all the representatives of the UMBE, who have poured all their experience and willingness to make it a success.

Omar Silva president of UMBE Puebla stressed his state will see Green and Gold champions flourish and that several idols will come out of this tournament.

He explained that the meeting will host 200 classified athletes, that is to say that all of them are 18 years old and have fought 8 fights, or more.

The participating divisions will be from flyweight to super welterweight and the women’s and men’s division will participate, the objective will be to come out with an elite delegation that will participate in the world championship tournament that will take place from November 18 to 20 in Tijuana, Baja California.

In this way, Puebla is ready to welcome the boxing family and host a great amateur boxing tournament that promises explosive matches.
