Regis Prograis and Maurice Hooker will fight in an attractive clash on Friday, April 17, at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Both fighters need to bounce back from defeats, so this is an exacting opportunity to return to the championship limelight.
Prograis (24-1 20 KOs) traveled to London last October to face Josh Taylor in the World Boxing Super Series final, being defeated by the Scotsman in a fight that turned out to be a classic.
In July, Hooker (27-1-3 18 KOs) faced WBC superlight champion José Ramírez in Dallas, and although the match was competitive, with plenty of give and take between the two fighters, Ramírez managed to stop Hooker in the sixth round.
Now Prograis and Hooker will face a decisive and crucial fight, which is absolutely key to their respective careers.
The card will be broadcast live on DAZN.
