Pressing engagement for Zepeda and Prograis

The inaugural press conference in downtown Los Angeles to formally announce “The Battle of the Best.”

The World Boxing Council super lightweight title will be at stake between #1 ranked Jose “Chon” Zepeda ( 35-2, 27 Ko`s) and #2 Regis “Rougarou” Prograis, (27-1, 23 Ko`s).
Presented by Marv Nation and produced by Legendz Entertainment, Zepeda vs. Prograis is scheduled for Saturday, November 26 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

“We are both at our best. This is #1 versus #2, the two best fighters in the division. We don’t see that very often nowadays in boxing and this shows that it’s going to be a great fight. We both have a lot of knockouts, real punching power.

“I used to live in Los Angeles, so I feel very comfortable here. I can’t wait for this fight and become a world champion. Zepeda is a really good fighter and I already know what he is coming with.

“This is a dream come true for me because I wanted to stay at 140 pounds and become a two-time world champion. My last three fights were against good opposition, but this is the fight to prove that I am elite.

“He’s a killer and I give him all the respect, but I’m going to do my job on November 26.

“I am not surprised at everything that is happening. He wanted the fight; I wanted the fight. We both want to be champions. We are two punchers.

“I have a lot of power in both hands, he has a lot of power in both hands. And that’s what makes it an interesting fight, #1 vs. #2. No one knows who is going to win, it’s a true 50/50 fight.”
