
Peace and Sports Day waves the #WhiteCard
On Saturday twenty eight Mexican Sports Federations and audiences totaling thirty six million sports fans will see the white card waved for peace, harmony and inclusion, especially as an example and an inspiration for our best investment encompassing future…YOUTH.
At the Olympic Committee the Council of Sports Federations which was originally established with the help of the great Jose Sulaiman outlined the significance of White is the path which is right.
World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman said: “This represents peace and fair play on the United Nations International Day of peace, sport and responsibility, helping young people away from the path of vandalism and vagrancy, towards sporting friendship and a healthy life.
“This is a united message to society via sport. My Father Don Jose was a tireless promoter of sport for peace and the family. This Saturday each sports league will have many activities. A way of responsibility. The humanitarian importance of sport.”
Javier Salinas, who’s the Chief of the Mexican Baseball League stressed: “Words will now transform into action. The way of sport and peace, because as an open society there are many obligations. Peace is fundamental for every human activity for a better society. The heart and spirit of fans transmit themselves via the white card.”
Head of Communications for the Football League Beatriz Ramos Villareal explained: “Every day we work to transform football, in every form possible and we are convinced about the impact on society, through positive change, family and community. Together with the white card.”
Carlos Padilla, who’s the President of Mexico’s Olympic Committee spoke of the combining importance of great sporting personalities forming a sporting family for peace for our society, serving a great Mexico City and a great Mexico.
Dr Salvador Guerrero Chipres who’s Security Supremo of Mexico City said there’s been an appreciable increase in crime. The role of sport is a vital ambassador, building a new generation of sporting values. A message of security and peace with sports. A togetherness!
