This weekend at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, Diego Pacheco knocked out the Polish Maciej Sulecki with total authority, defending his WBC-USA super middleweight title.
Diego’s victory placed his name as one of the contenders at 168 pounds, placing him on the verge of a world title fight.
Diego Pacheco showed good punching rhythm and effective combinations to the body and head. The official moment of the stoppage occurred at 54 seconds of the sixth round, when a hook to the body on Sulecki sent him to the canvas and he was unable to get up.
The accumulated damage that preceded the blow that ended the fight allowed Pacheco (22-0 18 KOs) to punctuate his performance with a spectacular finish against Sulecki (32-3 12 KOs), the toughest test of his rising career.
