The North American Dewayne Beamon and the Colombian Pablo Carrillo were to contest the World Boxing Council Continental Americas super flyweight title, at the Elías Chegwin Coliseum in Barranquilla, Colombia.
However, the American did not appear at the weigh-in ceremony due to problems with air connections and therefore the rematch was suspended.
After this setback, Carrillo’s new rival will be his compatriot Rober Barrera. It should be noted that the latter helped Carrillo in his training for his duel with Beamon.
However, for Barrera it is an opportunity that comes at a good time, as he remains in shape after having trained constantly during these months.
Carrillo is determined to make the best of it. At the weigh-in ceremony, he got on the scale, showing that he is in excellent condition for the title fight.
