The WBC is mourning the death of Osvaldo Bisbal, historic and admired President of the Argentine Boxing Federation (FAB).
Osvaldo died today, November 5th, after bravely struggling for years with a long illness. Osvaldo presided over Argentina national boxing for 24 years and was responsible for many wonderful and memorable achievements during his extensive and tremendously successful tenure. He helped greatly advance boxing throughout his beloved country and much further afield. He was and will forever be a Great, so this is the saddest of days.
World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaimán and all the people affiliated with the WBC spanning the Globe, lament this irreparable loss and we send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr Bisbal. Osvaldo made a great and lasting difference. He`ll never be forgotten for his magnificent work, devotion, loyalty and so valued friendship.
