O`Shaquie Foster won back the WBC Super-Featherweight Green and Gold Belt at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino, in Verona, New York Saturday night defeating Robson Conceicao by SD in another closely fought battle.
Robson won it off him on July 6th and O`Shaquie put in a big effort to rectify this. Both fighters input max factor to come out victorious in the keenly anticipated re-match , but O`Shaquie`s punches found the target more often. The stats indicated this. Each of them went to the body often and absorbed crunching punches to their lean frames which they took well, due to their superb conditioning.
As previously, Robson was the aggressor, but this time O`Shaquie was not content to try and pick him off from a comfort zone and often engaged, which made it an entertaining firefight. O`Shaquie turned southpaw several times and had some success with this ploy, although Robson`s long right was very much in evidence.
In round ten, O`shaquie caught Robson with a big right hand to the head, which wobbled the Brazilian, but he covered up and O`Shaquie wasn`t able to capitalize on this, so the moment passed. During the Championship rounds a tiring Robson tended to lower his guard and was punished for it.
Determination and focus was etched on both men`s faces, but Foster finished the fight fresher and more strongly, and this proved decisive in the closing rounds.
