
WBC Super Featherweight World Champion Oscar Valdez (29-0, 23 KOs) will defend his crown for the first time, against undefeated Brazilian and Olympic gold medallist Robson Conceição (16-0-0, 8 Ko’s) on Friday, 10 September in Tucson, Arizona.
Valdez and Conceição fought as amateurs for the gold medal at the 2009 Pan American Games, with the Brazilian taking the victory by a single point.
The undercard presented by Top Rank, will be broadcast live and exclusively on ESPN + at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
Both fighters submitted their 30-day pre-weigh-in prior to the match. Valdez reported 140.6 pounds, while Conceição posted 142.8 pounds.
