1971.- In Scranton, Pennsylvania, Bob Foster knocked out Tommy Hicks in the eighth round. In this fight the WBC light heavyweight title was at stake.

1974.- In a great fight between North American warriors, Muhammad Ali knocked out George Foreman in the eighth round in Kinshasa, Zaire. In this fight the WBC heavyweight title was in dispute.

1982.- North American Marvin Hagler defended his WBC middleweight title by knocking out Fulgencio Obelmejias in the fifth round. The fight took place in San Remo, Italy.

1998.-Mexican César Bazán defended his WBC lightweight title by defeating Mauro Lucero by decision. The fight took place in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico.
