1989 – Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez knocked out American Roger Mayweather in 11 rounds in Inglewood, California. This bout was for the WBC super lightweight title.

2000 – Roy Jones Jr- one of the greatest light heavyweight fighters, successfully defended his WBC title defeating Jamaican Southpaw, Richard Hall via TKO. The bout was at the Conseco Field House in Indianapolis, Indiana.

2006 – In Swickau, Germany, local fighter Markus Beyer fought to a technical draw with Cameroonian Sakio Bika in 4 rounds after receiving a cut from an accidental headbutt. With this result, Meyer retained the WBC super middleweight title.
