1968.- At the Quisqueya Stadium in Santo Domingo, Dominican Carlos Teo Cruz won the WBC lightweight title, defeating Puerto Rican Carlos Ortiz by decision.

1969.- Cuban living in Mexico, José “Mantequilla” Nápoles, knocked out American Curtis Cokes in the tenth round, defending his WBC welterweight title in Mexico City.

1996.- Mexican Ricardo “Finito” López defended his WBC straw-weight title by knocking out Thai Kitti Chai Preecha in the third round in Indio, California.

2019.- At the NRG Arena in Houston, Jermall Charlo defeated Brandon Adams by decision. In this fight the WBC middleweight title was at stake.
