1970.- At the Civic Center in Baltimore, Bob Foster retained his WBC light heavyweight title by knocking out Mark Tessman in the tenth round.

1974.- Japanese Kuniaki Shibata defended his WBC super featherweight title by defeating Panamanian Antonio Amaya by decision, in Tokyo Japan.

1982.- American S.T. Gordon conquered the WBC cruiserweight title, knocking out Puerto Rican Carlos De León in the second round. The bout took place in Cleveland, Ohio.

1988.- In Atlantic City, New Jersey, American Mike Tyson knocked out Michael Spinks in the first round. The WBC heavyweight title was at stake in this match.

1988.- Korean Jungkoo Chang knocked out the Japanese Hideyuki Ohashi in the eighth round in Tokyo, Japan. In this fight the WBC light flyweight title was on the line.
