1977.- Mexican Carlos Palomino defended his WBC welterweight title by knocking out British Dave Green in the eleventh round, at the Empire Pool in Wembley, England.

1991.- Mexican Daniel Zaragoza defeated the Japanese Kiyoshi Hatanaka by decision, defending his WBC super bantamweight title. The match took place in Nagoya, Japan.

1997.- American Genaro “Chicanito” Hernández defended his WBC super featherweight title by defeating Russian Anatoly Alexandrov. The match took place in San Antonio, Texas.

1997.- Filipino Gerry Peñalosa defended his WBC super flyweight title by knocking out Korean Seungkoo Lee in 9 rounds, in Cebu City, Philippines.

1997.- American Oscar De La Hoya defended his WBC welterweight title by knocking out Kenyan David Kamau in the second round. The fight took place in San Antonio, Texas.

2008.- At the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, Edgar Sosa knocked out Japanese Takashi Kunishige in the eighth round. In this fight the WBC light flyweight title was at stake.
