1998.- Oscar De La Hoya defended his WBC welterweight title by knocking out Patrick Charpentier in the third round in El Paso,Texas.

2015.- In Birmingham, Alabama, Deontay Wilder knocked out Eric Molina in 9 rounds, defending his WBC heavyweight title.
