1972.- Jose “Mantequilla” Nápoles knocked out Adolphe Pruitt in the second round defending his WBC welterweight title. The match took place in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

1989.- At the Prefectural Gymnasium in Osaka, Japan, Thai Napa Kiatwanchai knocked out Japanese Hiroki Ioka in the eleventh round, defending his WBC straw-weight title.

2006.- Mexican Israel Vazquez defended his WBC super bantamweight title by knocking out Ivan Hernandez in the fourth round, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
