1970.- At the Stadio Beach in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, local fighter Bruno Arcari defended his WBC super lightweight title, defeating Frenchman Rene Roque by disqualification in the seventh round, after several headbutts.

1977.- Puerto Rican Wilfredo Gomez defended his WBC super bantamweight title by knocking out Mexican Raul Tirado in the fifth round, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

1986.- Mexican Gilberto Román defended his WBC super flyweight title by defeating  Argentine Ruben Condori by decision. The match took place in Salta, Argentina.

1987.- Australian Jeff Fenech defended his WBC super bantamweight title by defeating American Greg Richardson- The fight took place at the Entertainment Center in Sydney, Australia.

2001.- Canadian Eric Lucas conquered the WBC super middleweight title by knocking out British Glenn Catley in the seventh round. The match took place in Montreal, Canada.

2010.- Mexican Saúl “Canelo” Alvarez knocked out Argentine Luciano Cuello in the sixth round in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. In this fight the WBC Super Welterweight Silver title was at stake.
